Montreal is very cosmopolitan, especially when it is about food. I can not think of one or two good restaurants Brazilian done. As for what "typical" hotel seems for his' famous smoked meat sandwich (slow cooked) breast with mustard on rye bread, available in all of downtown, the best known is the "Schwartz" in Saint Laurent (although they do not really deserve the reputation) are your small and sandwiches overpirced. There are also places Bagel St-Viateur Bagel, as in the vicinity of Saint-Laurent and St. Viateur Street.

You get a good idea of what kind of cuisine is availbe in Montreal when you go to the Rue Saint-Laurent, the local authority in the old harbor and ends at the Crémazie Motnreal ... I think that about three miles from restaurants and bars and clubs ... Saint-Denis street, parallel to the road is nearly finished as. The best part of St. Laurtent go, oh, rue Sainte-Catherine, near the Rue Saint-Viateur. Try in GoolGE-cards! I hope that helps. I was looking for something specific?

Montreal What is known, except that it's smoked meat (pastrami like New York, only better!) Your bagels. Then there is the blocking of the artery-called fast-food, the Quebecois poutine fries and cheese sauce is covered with dark meat.

Otherwise, Montreal is full of immigrants to their styles of restaurants around the world, but for me most of the heritage of Quebec, like most Canadians eat more or less like the Americans, except that eating less chicken and pork. In addition, both in our "French" our restaurants and supermarkets are more like free meals can be found (bison, elk, wild boar, quail, etc.) that will see you in the U.S. and we (some of us, at least) to eat horses, the Americans never eat.

In Quebec, almost 80% of specialty cheeses from Canada for the selection was more important than anywhere else in North America. Most of maple syrup in the world are gathered here.
